Ritual for a Key [8-8] (2019)
Drain covers and the key to open them, are transformed into a ritualistic interplay that takes them out of their respective everyday meanings and applies another. I wanted to produce two universes that connect but somehow seem tangibly out of reach, and reference the human desire to form rituals to connect with the abstract.
The markings were shot with b+w Super 8 which I left unedited, while the key is Video 8 format
